Strangely, I loved his voice. And I still love Christian Bale, prick or not--fortunately for me, I'll never have the pleasure of meeting him, ever.

Sounds like a typical blow-out--something my dad would have done too. O_o He just gets beef about it cause he's a celebrity.

But was Christian Bale that guy's boss? Did the DP answer directly to him? I could understand if he was the director, because only the director has any real right to throw a shitstorm like that. That blow-out was too long and crossed too many lines, and it go too personal. Guy didn't show restraint.

Personally, I think it's none of anyone's business-we don't exactly know the entirety of the story. I haven't the faintest if he's a decent man or an asshole but he's one hell of an actor and as an audience, that's the only thing I'm concerned about.

My two cents.

I dunno, from what I've read the DP would fiddle with the lights and walk around (in the actors' field of vision too), during scenes. And that's after being warned multiple times by people he answered to directly. Like Bale says, not very professional.

Sure, the tirade should have been significantly shorter, and he should have controlled his temper. But considering the DP isn't exactly blameless, I'm inclined to think they're both pricks.
